Most restaurants these days have patios or opened up patios in the last few months because the need for outdoor dining has gotten greater with COVID. This is something many pet owners are rejoicing about since many of their favs are now accessible to them and their dog. Smack Dab in Rogers Park
If you are looking for elevated versions of classic breakfast in Rogers Park, Smack Dab will be your new favorite spot. This restaurant is woman-owned and has tons of vegan and gluten-free options that will cater to tons of different audiences; there’s truly something for everyone! The Lost Larson in Andersonville
One of the best bakeries in the city, the Lost Larson is an iconic spot on Clark Street that is home to incredible coffee and pastries, all french inspired and made to perfection. They also have a full menu outside of breakfast and pastries that are bright, colorful, and delicious dishes. They are open with an awesome back patio that people can sip coffee and chill at or have a meal served. Dogs are always welcome and will enjoy sitting in the sun with you while it’s still warm! Carol’s Pub in Uptown
If you’re looking for something casual, a place where you can just drink and hang out, Carol’s Pub in Uptown is for you. They closed down for a while, but now they are back and better than ever with some fan favorites, including deliciously fried bar food and beers galore. They also let pets inside, and you and your pup will love sharing this atmosphere together. The Birdcage in Andersonville
Formerly a mexican cantina, the birdcage is an incredible bar in Andersonville that features an awesome dance floor and a ton of patio seating. They encourage dog owners to visit and try some of their fancy cocktails and delicious food. There’s even a birdcage you can step inside of in the back. They rebranded to a fantastic bar that features drag queens, dance competitions, and so much more. Broken English Taco Pub in Lincoln Park
You’ve never had a dining experience quite like Broken English. Known for their outrageous decorations and colorful inside and out, Broken English is one of the most popular spots in the city to get a good, unique taco and to bring your pets out on the enormous patio while you sit and have a beer.
