Posted December 13, 2021

Chicago New Years ConcertsWith New Years right around the corner, everyone is starting to plan out their nights, where they will go, who they will see, and how much fun they will have ringing in 2022. While last year’s New Year was anything but eventful, people are excited to get out and celebrate the new year in style. The far north side of Chicago is stacked with events for the Holiday for any kind of night you might be looking for.  From nice dinners and drinks to club scenes to a quiet evening out. There are even a few events on New Years Day if you’re up for getting out of bed the next day. Look no further than our guide for 2022 events on the northside

Concerts

Kaytranada

Canadian producer Kaytranada is throwing a once in a blue moon concert in Chicago on New Year’s Eve. Expected to raise quite the crowd for this event, if you’re planning on going, you better get your tickets fast! According to allmusic.com, Kaytranada “arrived during the early 2010s with ear-perking remixes and an array of sounds that veered from J Dilla-inspired hip-hop beats to distinctly woozy house grooves.” With collaborations with tons of hip hop and dance music artists, the Kaytranada concert is the perfect place to let your hair down on New Year and dance the night away. Tickets are general admission for the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom in Uptown.

Goose

Another epic concert playing a Chicago staple venue is Goose on Dec. 30th and 31st. They are an incredible electric rock band that will certainly bring joy and good music to your New Years. Their website describes them as a band of 5 guys with “fluidly traverse genres with head-spinning hooks, technical fireworks, and the kind of chemistry only possible among small-town and long-time friends.” Reviews call them magnetic and fun, a great way to spend the evening, especially on NYE. Get your tickets for general admission before they run out!

Restaurants and Bars

If you’ve never been to the Kit Kat lounge in North Halstead, this place is the premiere spot to get one-of-a-kind martini’s and see one-of-a-kind drag shows. With a massive drink menu and immaculate vibes, this place is a one-stop-shop for an amazing New Year. The event is their “annual Glitz & Glam Gala! It will be an evening filled with fine dining, world-class entertainment and of course, plenty of champagne and signature martinis!” There are different packages according to what time you want to go and what your party is interested in food and drink wise. Check out their event page here with ticket information and more!

Lark

Lark Bar and Restaurant is opening its doors for its third annual New Year’s Eve party, and it’s looking up to be an exciting night. Their package for the party is a steal, too. “Imagine going to a friend’s house party hosted by the funniest drag queens, playing bingo, karaoke, enjoy drag performances, games, and more. Plus, chance’s to win prizes all night! Each ticket includes access to a full buffet with the best wood-fired pizzas, pastas, chicken, salads, desserts, and more. 1 1/2-hour open bar (call liquor and select beers).” Also located in North Halstead, this neighborhood seems to be the hot spot for many awesome New Years’ parties.
