Individuals and Families:
- Create a Walk-a-Thon fundraising page, set a fundraising goal, and share the page with your supporters.
- Each person joining your team will need to register to attend the Walk-a-Thon!
Businesses, Organizations, and Groups:
- Create a Walk-a-Thon fundraising page so that members of your team can support your fundraising goal through individual donations AND/OR becoming a Walk-a-Thon sponsor (deadline is September 15th, 2023).

All proceeds will fund Family Matters’ programs.
- The Family Matters School, a specialty, culturally competent Kindergarten -4th grade microschool designed to fuel children’s innate desire to learn.
- Partners in Learning, a tutor/mentoring program, where youth in grades 1-12 are paired with a dedicated tutor/mentor for the school year, designed to build education equity.
- Project RISE, a teen job skills training and leadership development initiative, in which youth ages 13-18 gain on-the-job training and build leadership skills while earning a stipend.
- Community Engagement activities, including Respectful Communities Principles of Leadership Training, the North of Howard Together Collective, and much more.
Your financial contribution to this much-anticipated community event will make a significant difference to the youth and families who call Family Matters “a home away from home.” We suggest each participant fundraise a minimum of $100.
